Taurine enhances thrombolysis rates
Our research explored the relationship between taurine and blood clot dissolution, specifically looking at how it interacts with endothelin (ET). In a rat model, we observed that while ET can inhibit thrombolysis, taurine significantly reduced ET levels by 17-40%.

Importantly, taurine not only lowered plasma ET levels but also accelerated thrombus lysis by 45%. This suggests that taurine may play a beneficial role in promoting blood clot dissolution, providing a potential avenue for improving treatments for thrombotic conditions.

Combination therapy shows promise
We explored how the combination of taurine and tPA impacts blood clotting after stroke using a rat model. In our study, taurine effectively reduced the adverse effects of tPA, such as hemorrhage, while also improving blood flow in small vessels.

Meanwhile, tPA alone was ineffective and even harmful, causing bleeding. These encouraging results suggest that taurine could enhance the safety and effectiveness of stroke treatments, paving the way for better therapies in the future.

Taurine aids thrombolytic therapy
We investigated how taurine influences thrombolysis, particularly in patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction and through a rat model.

Our results indicated that combined treatment of urokinase and taurine significantly lowered serum endothelin levels compared to urokinase alone.

Additionally, taurine appeared to enhance vascular recanalization and reduce ischemia-related damage.

This suggests that taurine could be a valuable addition to thrombolytic therapies, helping to improve recovery after clot-related heart issues.

Effective for hypertension
6 people found this helpful
Best! My favourite is proven. I take it for hypertension (in combination therapy). After some time, it reduced my pressure by 10-15 units. It acts similarly to diuretic drugs – it gently removes excess fluid from the body while being electrolyte-saving and kidney-friendly. Taurine helps relax the walls of blood vessels and relieve spasms, improving blood flow and normalising blood pressure. I recommend it!

Research suggests taurine can effectively address metabolic syndrome by reducing triglycerides and cholesterol, combating obesity, and stabilising blood pressure. This ability is crucial for those at risk of heart disease and other related issues due to unhealthy metabolic markers.

As diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy, my doctor advised taurine to strengthen eye blood vessels. I’ve seen a marked decrease in vascular ruptures since starting taurine. My blood pressure has also normalised, proving beneficial. It's a convenient supplement I'm glad to use alongside others for optimal health.

Normalises bile flow
43 people found this helpful
Taurine effectively dilutes thick bile and can assist those with high blood pressure. If you have low pressure, start small—500 mg. It's crucial to stay hydrated before taking it. Aim for at least 30 ml of water per kilogram of body weight, as this may help normalise bile flow. Please support my review; thanks!

Good for blood pressure
5 people found this helpful
Tried this after seeing Dr Oz recommend it for high blood pressure. I used it for 14 days as suggested. I noticed my morning diastolic fluctuating and dropping until it reached about 90mm Hg. Initially, I thought it wasn’t effective and stopped. The next morning my BP rose to 103mm Hg, so I resumed taking it, and the diastolic fell again. While it isn't a miracle cure, it has a noticeable BP-lowering effect.

Normalised blood pressure

I took taurine for a couple of months to aid my memory and normalise blood pressure. While I couldn't tell if my memory improved, my blood pressure never spiked while on it. It seems effective; having been off it for over a month, my pressure has remained stable and normal. I recommend it, especially for low pressure.

Stabilises blood sugar

I find taurine essential for managing my diabetes, as it stabilises my sugar levels and prevents fluctuations. The powder form is convenient and economical. I take it once daily during fasting and have noticed improvements, including bile liquefaction and stable low blood pressure without any anxiety about it raising my pressure. I highly recommend taurine.

Watch for side effects
After hearing positive remarks about taurine, I experimented with a small amount mixed with my usual supplements. Unfortunately, I experienced significant nosebleeds a couple of hours later, potentially due to taurine's effect on blood clotting. It’s essential to use caution with dosage; the quality seems very potent though.

I buy taurine for my mother, who has suffered from high blood pressure for years. Since starting it, she has reduced her antihypertensive drugs with positive results. She takes half a teaspoon twice daily on an empty stomach. I am glad to help her tend to her health and am grateful if my review assists others in similar situations.

Taurine is a great product that I've been taking for about three years to help regulate my heart rhythm. I recently read a study showing its potential to help grow new brain cells. It also lowers high blood pressure and assists in heart failure. This NOW product is tasteless and mixes well with water. I take 1,000 mg three times daily.
